Toys or not Toys Kids learn by imitation

Would you think of kids without Game Toys ?

Teaching kids requires time and sacrifice. They want to see and touch everything. Their hearts are restless until they imitate. Take care that you be a good mentor for valuable imitation.

One winter afternoon I was caught speechless  when working and watching kids in the mud. The day was spent with heavy showers. And hardly had it stopped showering than kids went right into the heart of its mud and started playing and molding mud together to make cars, constructing ground zero houses , others making tractors, pots, wheel barrows, and all that could come in mind. Some others still teamed up in another corner and spent lots of time quietly  molding a person, cows and birds. On the other corner there was another group busy making religious symbols like a statue of Mary, constructing a church, making statues of saints or bible. It was amazing.

As I watched these kids busy, unconscious of time, dirt or even eating supper, something that clicked in my mind was; "we have fortunate and less fortunate kids in our world today, but rich or poor, kids are the same everywhere, and all need care and protection".

But when it comes to life opportunities, many kids from poor families or poor nations are stunted and work it out hard by themselves. Even with or without Toys, they have to find ways to cope up with life any way. They invent their standards.I even observed many of these kids making balls out of banana fibers, baby toys from tree leaves, bikes from wood, .......and said oh gosh, what a life.

After another a pause I discovered the source of their energy and inspiration into the mud. A week earlier we had  just began a construction project of their new dormitory in the school compound. And during break times, these kids would anxiously and quietly surround our work place  with very interesting curiosity, waiting for their weekend.

On weekends you could hardly find them playing as usual within the compound. They would  plan their time to put into practice their week's summary of curiosity. It's amazing how cute they are at imitation. They have limitless potentials but stunted by poverty.

Imitation like toys sharpen kid's brains, expand reason through experience and observation. Kids, as usual need aides that click on their brains for better development.

Our kids learn it through the harder way. They are in need of all that children need for child psycho-social development.

Rubanda Solidarity Nursery/Primary administration is putting together all efforts to provide these kids with the best.  We are bringing Rubanda community to the world map as the world becomes a little village through technology and soon or later our kids would experience a fortune and a smile to a better future.
You could be the next one on the list of our friends.
